We are incredibly excited to announce that Mary Tobin, one of the owners of Tobin Jewelers, was recently honored as the 2014 Recipient of the John Ziino Civic Award. The award is given to someone that exemplifies outstanding community involvement and service in the New Berlin area. Mary was honored to accept the award during a luncheon hosted by the New Berlin Chamber of Commerce today.
On any given day, you will find Mary at Tobin Jewelers New Berlin giving an education on diamonds to a young couple. Mary also spends a lot of time, working with their diamond cutters in Antwerp, Belgium looking for the perfect Russian cut diamond for their customers.
As an owner of Tobin Jewelers New Berlin and Mequon, Mary is very busy with the day to day operation of the business. Although Mary enjoys selling jewelry, her real passion is giving it away to strangers with no strings attached. Mary started Tobin Jewelers’ “Random Acts of Kindness” five years ago where 100 bags of diamond jewelry are hidden all over New Berlin several weeks before Christmas.
Mary also does quite a bit of work for charity including the upcoming June 19th Denim & Diamond Ovarian Cancer Fundraiser, Make-a-Wish Foundation, and speaking for the empowerment of women. Mary even takes a day off from the jewelry store once a month to stay home and bake meat loafs for the St. Vincent Meal Program.
Whether Mary sees you often or hardly at all, you can be assured to get a personalize card for just about any occasion. If you stop in at our Milwaukee jewelry store showrooms looking for Mary, she’s the one with the largest smile on her face.
Congratulations to Mary! We’re so proud of her for this accomplishment and are especially blessed to have her as part of the Tobin Jewelers family.
